A couple of comments about "multiple streams":

* You have to figure out what works for your personality. Some people love doing the same thing all the time, others need more variety. If you're a "variety" person, then you need more different streams, just so that any particular one doesn't get boring; boring projects tend to fail. (You have to be careful about the costs of switching activities however ... reequipping, transportation etc.)OTOH if you find something you LIKE doing over and over, you can get by with less variety (...just be careful of the next point ...)

* Depending too heavily on any single stream can run the risk of that stream drying up. A wise strategy spreads the risk around a variety of different strategies so that they don't all collapse at once.

* Passively generated income can be very valuable: anything that generates income while you're off doing something else. Of course, it's hard to find the perfect passive income vehicle because EVERYONE wants some.

* If it sounds too good to be true, it's most likely not true. Remember, scammers exist in every walk of life and live off people just like you and I.

* There really ought to be a Rich Dad, Poor Dad for WOW!
