Ok so difficult questions and I think I can answer them all fairly and without prejudice.

bad things - well yes they can - some of the gold sellers are not particularly nice - would they possibly hack accounts and sell you on stolen gold. Well yes they would and loads do. Would they install a keylogger in a banner or handy WoW guide they sent you for free - well yes they would.
Is it cheating ? Well yes it is really.

You could get your account banned (but you could always sign up again), good virus checkers should stop any keyloggers and well as for it being cheating - ermm it's an online computer game - who actually cares.
